I will remember you

Sometimes after a great man or woman has gone on from this life to the next, he/she is remembered by a quote. Sometimes by many quotes but usually one stands out above the rest.  Here are just a few in no particular order.

“Nothing to fear but fear itself”- FDR

“Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.”- A. Einstein

“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”- JFK

“I am the way, the truth and the Life, no one comes to the father except through me.” Jesus

“I never expected to be anybody important.” – Elvis Presley

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day life in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”- Martin Luther King, Jr.

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players…” – William Shakespeare

“The future starts today, not tomorrow”- Pope John Paul II

“It is better to be unhappy alone, than unhappy with someone – so far”- Marilyn Monroe

How will you be remembered? What will your loved ones remember? Will they remember that one piece of advice you shared with them? I hope my children remember  me speaking words of wisdom about my faith.  And that I want them to be Wise and not experienced. That I chose to live for all things good and wise.  What about you?

  1. This is a great post. I often wonder about what folks will say about me when I am gone. Did I leave a mark? How did I influence others and what were the contributions I made as an individual. I have committed to God being first in my life and because of that my life has been good, my hope is that my Kids will see that same faith and commitment and will follow in my footsteps.

Thanks for sharing and being such a great inspiration.

    • Tammy, thank you for your comment. I am with you and also pray that my children will walk closely with God after they leave home. I have one adult daughter who loves The Lord and is a light to her world. There is no greater Joy….
