Berries

This past week our family went blueberry picking. I had never seen so many white and yet to ripen blueberries in all my years of picking. Especially this late in the season.

I was particularly disappointed to see a lot of ripe ones on the ground, under my feet. What a waste of good berries.

This made me think of wasted words and words never spoked. The I love yous that are not said because it is awkward. The times that you should have said something but didn’t because you thought you would wait and say them another day.

It also made me think of wasted talents and gifts. Don’t let your talents go unnoticed. Don’t let them fall to the ground and wither away. Use your talents and say those words. Time is short. Life is wonderful but fleeting. Draw, write, speak, paint, create and love with no regrets.
