Farmhouse Glam: Just My Style

My home, I would say, is modestly decorated.  I am not a flashy kinda girl who likes Chintz or stuff from Sprintz.  I am a find-that-one-of-a-kind-piece-of-furniture kinda gal.  I usually shop at thrift stores or make something or alter(paint it or distress it) something.  Ha! today I picked up some Hedge Apples on my walk to decorate my screened in porch. I love to cut foliage or stop and pick wildflowers to have around.  But when I stumbled upon a quiz on Find Your Home Decor. Style, I took it.

My results were not very surprising to me, but very affirming that I like what I like.  And that I do indeed have a certain style to my sometimes quirky decorating style. What I found out was that I am a down home, easy-going, classy yet earthy kinda gal.

Farmhouse Glam is my style.

“Farmhouse Glam is the delicate, exquisite balance between beautiful femininity and rustic nonchalance. She’s all about the discovery of unexpected sparkle amidst the less polished. She wears high heels and a denim jacket, a string of pearls and bare feet. And her home feels as special as it does comfortable.”

“Farmhouse Glam is very approachable elegance, layering texture rather than color to create a look that is modern and rustic. Chandeliers above picnic tables. Ornate candlesticks alongside weathered pieces.”

They pegged me well because I do love denim jackets and pearls. I enjoy going barefoot and love the rustic/modern look.  I challenge you this weekend to take this quiz and find your style.  You can take the quiz here  Enjoy your weekend and Happy Decorating.
