This past weekend I saw a documentary called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Joe Cross was on mission to only drink fresh juice for 30 days. He did it. And in the process felt better and lost weight.
Since I have been feeling tired and not feeling 100% myself, I thought I would add some juicing to my life this week. I started yesterday with a 16oz juice filled with carrots, apples, spinach and a bit of lemon. I really wish I hadn’t added the lemon. I am not a huge lemon fan except for lemonade with lots of sugar. Not the same thing when you are juicing a lemon. Felt great, and then my whole family wanted to hit the food court for lunch and so I joined them. I don’t want to be so strict that I miss out on hanging with my family. Or making a huge fuss about what I am going to eat. So I had a very small meal of mostly rice and greek salad, with water. I usually get a coke when I eat at the food court. 🙂 So this was a stretch for me today. For dinner I had more juice but without the lemon this time. I also had a banana. I felt like I was living it up eating my banana. I have a slight headache but I know that it will soon pass and I will begin to feel more energy as the days go on.
Will I just juice for 3 meals a day for 30 days like Joe? I think not. I am going to juice for the next two mornings. Then I will juice when I am feeling sluggish.
